Looking for a great part time job in the education field? Sylvan wants you!! We are looking for an enthusiastic, fun and flexible Education Operations Assistant to be part of our Oak Lawn team.
This is a great job for applicants with experience in education looking for something a little different than the traditional classroom teacher job.
Typical hours would be 4-7pm week days and Saturdays between10:
00am and 2:
00pm.
This is a part time job for candidates that can work 10-20hrs per week.
Additional hours are available as responsibilities grow.
The Education Operations Assistant is responsible for a variety of student facing, reporting, and clerical activities that support the overall functioning and educational environment of the tutoring center.
Job Functions include:
Prepare and administer initial and ongoing student assessments Respond to customer inquiries by sharing Sylvan programs and initial pricing, aligning program value to customer needs Prepare and maintain student instructional materials, tutor work stations, and student prize center Review student academic progress to ensure academic goals are being made and adjusts learning plans as needed Communicate with students regular classroom teachers to get feedback and align needs with Sylvan program Prepare on going conference reports detailing student achievements Greet and assist students, parents, and potential customers according to Sylvan standards Check students in and out of the Center with particular attention to student safety and well-being Support the Center Director and manages center operations when the Director is not available Support a variety of other center operational and ad hoc activities including some cleaning activities.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Education related experience required Previous experience working with children preferred Familiarity with instructional technology and tablet computers Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT and other standard business applications used by the Center Knowledge of general office equipment such as copiers, printers, and office phones SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible Self-sufficiency in ownership of work and tasks Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience Ability to work collaboratively; strong team player Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Job Type:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
